Game of Thrones gets three nominations for Directors Guild Awards
It’s awards season, and as you might have noticed, Game of Thrones has been piling on the nominations this month. The latest nominations to join the bunch are from the Directors Guild of America, and Game of Thrones has gotten three of them. Read on!
The Directors Guild of America just announced the nominees for the DGA Awards, and Game of Thrones has bagged three, this time around. The show has always had a presence at the awards, having had episode nominated in the “Dramatic Series” every season of its production except for Season 2, and won for the last two years.
However, this is the first time Game of Thrones has three nominations in the same category. Yes, three nominations in a category with a maximum of five. Check out the full list of nominees, below :

Statistically speaking, Game of Thrones has a greater chance of winning this. As far as which director could win it, our bets are on Matt Shakman for The Spoils of War, which is regarded as the best of Season 7.
