Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer Secretly Welcomed her First Child in January

Even though the world is currently fighting the COVID pandemic, good news keeps rushing in for Game of Thrones fans. The fantasy epic completed 10 years of its run in April this year, and the prequel House of The Dragon has begun production. And this year we had another Game of Thrones baby, much to everyone’s surprise. Actress Natalie Dormer has given birth to a baby daughter, her first child with partner David Oakes.

Her daughter was born in January and has been kept a secret, shared only with family and close friends. But the news will surely delight her fans. Natalie, 39, does not use social media. She broke the news to her friend Esther Rantzen on her That’s After Life podcast, produced by Captive Minds, released on Wednesday.

It’s the perfect thing to do during a pandemic – get pregnant, have a baby,” joked Natalie. “I feel like I’m probably being a bit of a cliché, she’ll probably be sitting in a bar in 30 years’ time one day going, “Yeah, I’m a COVID baby”. I think there’s going to be lots of COVID babies because what else can people do, maybe like blitz babies?”

She added, “She’s just three months and she’s an absolute joy, I’m never going to complain about shooting hours ever again because sleep deprivation is something else.”

“People say, “Your whole perspective on life will change, and your whole set of value system” and you sort of roll your eyes and go “yeah, yeah” – and then you have one and you go, “Oh. Wow!”

Outlander star Graham McTavish confirms playing a role on House of The Dragon

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has created a huge hype amongst fantasy lovers. HBO is leaving no stones unturned in the marketing of the fantasy series. In the past few days, they’ve released several photos of some of the key characters in costume. Recently, one more important cast member has come under the attention of the Game of Thrones community. The Hobbit and Outlander star Graham McTavish’s Wikipedia Filmography has been updated to include House of The Dragon. And he himself has confirmed the news today.

In an interview with Stylist, McTavish revealed he has been having fun on the set. He said, “I’m enjoying that, yes. I’m really having a lot of fun. We’ve just started. It’s a very big project, so we’re getting to know each other. They’re lovely people. It’s great, but I can’t tell you too much. I can’t tell you really anything about the story! But it involves a lot dragons.”

Sam Heughan, who was with McTavish during the interview, joked: “Am I in it?”

Laughing, McTavish replied: “So far, no. And I have been waiting… I have to say ‘Where is Sam?’ because it’s always in my contract now.”

However, he didn’t say anything about what character he will be playing. Are you excited about House of The Dragon? Who do you think McTavish will play on the show? Tell us in the comments below!

This Job requires you to stay at a House of The Dragon filming site!

HBO has created a huge hype amongst fantasy lovers with the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon. The cast and the crew were spotted filming at various locations in Cornwall. Well, it looks like a great opportunity for Game of Thrones fans has recently come up in the news. You can now live at St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall, and get paid for it.

St Michael’s Mount is one of the UK’s most iconic and recognisable landmarks. The island with a castle perched on top is currently being used as a filming location for the Games of Thrones prequel. It’s run by the National Trust and St Aubyn Estates – and they are looking for a new Castle Officer. They have now advertised the full-time position – and it has a ‘live-in’ requirement.

On the downside, you’ll have to clean toilets and you can get stranded at high tide. Getting takeaways delivered will prove to be a bit problematic. If that hasn’t put you off, the role will have a focus on providing support to the Castle Steward.

Current Castle steward Duncan Murdoch told the BBC: “The best thing about living here is having a sea view from every window. The worst thing is not being able to get a pizza delivered to your door.”

If you are interested in the role you are asked to send a CV and a short covering statement to [email protected] Tell us what you think about the job in the comments below!
