Kit Harington and Rose Leslie win battle against conservation officials
Building a house is always on the list of dreams one wants to accomplish during one’s lifetime. However, it would be awful if your dream slides off into the water. In the case of Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, it might actually happen. Like his character Jon Snow, he’s fighting hard to defend his wall. Well, this time, it’s his garden he is trying to protect. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who starred in the hit fantasy series, win permission to rebuild the moat wall despite Historic England concerns.
Kit Harington, 34, shares the property with his wife and co-star Rose Leslie. His character Jon Snow had to defend a crumbling 700ft-high fortification known as The Wall on Game of Thrones. Now he is facing structural problems closer to home. He is concerned that the moat at his £1.75 million Suffolk farmhouse is in danger of collapsing.
The 34-year-old has applied for permission to carry out repairs to stop the garden from sliding into the water. Plans submitted to the local council say part of the existing 6ft-high moat wall has fallen down and other parts are suffering a ‘significant lean’.
The collapse, which affects two sides of the 15th Century building and has led to part of the earth bank being exposed. It is also putting structural pressure on a small footbridge across the moat.
The couple wants to build a new wall with a concrete core and faced by heritage-style bricks ‘to ensure the long-term stability and safeguard against future problems’. But Historic England fears the plan to replace the retaining wall could lead to the loss of ancient remains and artefacts.

The world is fighting hard against the effects of COVID-19 right now. One of the few things that has kept the population distracted from the ongoing stress is the filming of House of The Dragon. The Game of Thrones prequel has caused quite a buzz amongst the fans. Ever since HBO teased the show back in December last year, fans have been on their toes. People all over the world are highly excited about the upcoming series, and leaked photos of the shoot keep pouring in.
Last week, the production came to a standstill when a crew member accidentally drove a truck into the water. Luckily all of the members were saved and no one was injured. It seems the filming has taken flight once again after the incident and is going on well.
These pictures surfaced yesterday on Reddit when a user named Tobeaned uploaded them on the social media platform. Holywell Beach is about half an hour away from his home, so he decided to pay a visit. Turns out, his trip was beneficial to all Game of Thrones fans who are eagerly waiting for House of The Dragon.
Earlier last week, Matt Smith (Daemon) and Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra) were spotted filming at the same beach. The above photos indicate that a Targaryen base is also being built on the site.

Filming for a show is not an easy task. The production often runs into problems that delays filming for days. Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon ran into a similar situation. However, the problem was assessed and solved quickly and the delay was minimized. The shooting hit with an unexpected delay when a crew member had to be rescued from the rising tide.
A member of staff became trapped after accidentally driving a truck into the water. A tractor was then brought onto the scene at St Michael’s Mount to help to hoist the vehicle back to safety, with crew racing to the incident to help. According to Metro, the staff member was driving to the causeway but got stuck in the water on his way up to the mount when the incident happened. Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy were spotted shooting scenes for the HBO spin-off at a different location.
A team hurried to free the vehicle with just 30 minutes to spare before the spot was submerged by the rising tide. It appeared all staff members made it out of the incident unharmed.
Hopefully, this won’t cause much delay and the production will resume in a little while. Are you excited about the Game of Thrones prequel? Talk to us in the comments below!
We are living in the 21st century, and with all the technological advancements humanity has witnessed we still can’t guarantee the safety of the other half of the human race. Crimes against women don’t seem to stop, be it on the streets or within the four walls of a room. These blood-curdling incidents show the lack of morality and a genuine sense of respect in the minds of such animalistic ‘gentlemen’. Game of Thrones’ Esmé Bianco filed a federal lawsuit against Marilyn Manson on Friday accusing him of rape and other acts of sexual violence.
Bianco first came forward on Feb. 10, as more than a dozen other women also made allegations against Manson. The lawsuit lays out Bianco’s allegations in similarly shocking detail. She alleges that Manson — whose legal name is Brian Warner — raped her in May 2011. Bianco also alleges that he repeatedly used drugs, force and threats to coerce her into other sexual acts. She accuses him of spanking, biting, cutting and whipping her without her consent during sex acts.
In 2011, Bianco alleges that Manson invited her to come stay with him in L.A., and offered to cast her in a film called “Phantasmagoria.” She spent two and a half months with him, the suit states, “enduring constant abuse.”
“Mr Warner controlled Ms. Bianco’s movements and threatened to interfere with her visa process,” the suit alleges. “Mr. Warner alternately kept Ms. Bianco awake for days at a time and then would lock her out of the apartment overnight.”
