Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) causes debilitating mental strain to millions of people worldwide. It often hampers personal growth and the ability to work at full potential owing to a harrowing incident of the past. Angelina Jolie’s recent movie Those Who Wish Me Dead circles around this issue. Game of Thrones’ Aidan Gillen (Petyr Baelish) plays a negative role in the film. Check out the trailer for the movie right below!
Based on Michael Koryta’s 2014 novel, Those Who Wish Me Dead stars Jolie as the smoke jumper Hannah — one of the expert firefighters trained to parachute into a blaze. Stationed at an isolated fire tower, she’s still reeling from a past failed mission. When she encounters 12-year-old Connor (Australian actor Finn Little), the traumatized preteen is on the run, stalked by two assassins (Nicholas Hoult and Aidan Gillen). And together, Hannah and Connor have to outrun both their hunters and the wildfire raging around them.
Real firefighters were also on set to help monitor the wildfire scenes. Those Who Wish Me Dead also stars Jon Bernthal and Jake Weber, and will hit theatres and HBO Max on May 14.
Aidan Gillen will also play the lead role in Discovery’s Killers of The Cosmos. Are you excited about the upcoming film? Talk to us in the comments below!
Game of Thrones was a blissful escape from bleak reality for the fans and the crew alike. The crew of the show worked hard behind the scenes to provide a mystical feeling to the audience. HBO is celebrating the show’s 10-year-completion as the Iron anniversary. The celebrations will include various Game of Thrones-themed events and specials on HBO Max. On account of the Iron anniversary, the crew reflected back on a decade of Game of Thrones.
Several crew members got together in a video released by HBO today to describe their Game of Thrones journey. They described the painstaking work they had to do to bring visual effects to life. Executive Producer Bernadette Caulfield described how she thinks about bringing together a family while making the set. Producer Chris Newman talked about how they engendered an atmosphere where everyone did their best work. They go on to praise their co-workers for how supportive they were. Deborah Riley, Production Designer, loved building the set for Game of Thrones. She loved the fact they got to explore new places and travel while filming.
Steve Kullback, Visual Effects Producer, compared the evolution of dragons on Game of Thrones to the evolution of man. Visual Effects Supervisor Joe Bauer described how the detailing on the size of the dragons played a huge role in bringing them to life.
