Emilia Clarke improvised this iconic Game of Thrones speech in just 10 minutes!
The story of Game of Thrones becomes even more intriguing as fans come to know of more secrets about the show. Entertainment Weekly editor James Hibberd’s book Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon dives deep into such behind-the-screen mysteries previously unknown to the audience. The book contains detailed interviews with the cast and crew of the show. There have been many interesting revelations, including the unaired pilot of the series. The book describes another secret, the skilfulness of actress Emilia Clarke.
Director Jeremy Podeswa recounted one of Daenerys’ scenes in Hibberd’s book. The scene where Daenerys ordered the execution of one of three Meereenese noblemen was originally shot in English.
“Then [showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss] came down – they were watching the scene being shot – and they said, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if the scene was in Valyrian?’” Podeswa recalled.
“There’s usually a lot of preparation for that sort of thing and so much consideration that goes into it. She had quite a big monologue before she sets the guy on fire,” Podeswa continued. “I went over to Emilia and I was like, ‘I know this is a really big ask, but do you think you could figure out a way to do this in Valyrian?’ She said, ‘Yeah, sure, I think I can do this.’ And I’m all, “Really?” She went off and cobbled together things that [Daenerys] had said in the past that made sense. She came back in 10 minutes and had this whole monologue down.”
“I just had to hand it to Emilia for taking on the challenge and making it completely credible,” Podeswa added. “It wasn’t tracking perfectly in Valyrian, but no fan ever noticed it. She did an amazing job.”

Game of Thrones showcased some of the finest warriors in fantastical television history. Out of all the warriors on the show, Ser Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) was the most feared of all. How did they make the character so fierce? The Mountain was played by the world’s strongest man Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson himself!
Björnsson has vowed to destroy long-time rival Eddie Hall at the World’s Heaviest Boxing match. Eddie Hall, however, is taking no s**t from the Game of Thrones actor. Both of them have been training really hard for the fight. Taunting your opponent before a bout is an effective strategy to get a hold of them mentally.
Thor is very confident of his victory against Hall. He told Metro that he is going to knock Hall twice. The strongman also wants to fight Tyson Fury after his bout is over.
Björnsson said, “There’s probably going to be a rematch against Eddie Hall, so I’ll be in the sport for probably the next two years. After the rematch, we’ll see how I feel, how much I have improved. I’m not getting any younger – I’m 32 years old so I need to improve very fast if I see myself competing more.”
He added, “If the right opportunity came along…Let’s say in the Eddie fight…obviously my plan is to knock him out. When I do anything I always look at the top and the top right now is Tyson Fury obviously, but we’ll see in two years’ time who is on top then.”

Finding a soulmate is one of the best things that can ever happen to someone. Especially in a world full of tragedies and problems we’re currently facing. Everyone needs that somebody who helps them find a connection to this world. Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams is living the time of her life with her boyfriend Reuben Selby. They recently talked to Tatler about gender norms and labels.
“Reuben doesn’t really see clothing as having any specific gender,” she explained. “It’s just an image.”
“I’ve always felt fluid, but I don’t think it would be right for me to label it like that because it’s a difficult conversation,” Reuben said. “I don’t really have any boundaries.” She also reflected at her time on Game of Thrones.
“I miss the people, absolutely,” Maisie said. “It was such a great connection that we all had. We were on the most successful show of all time, but when you’re in it, you don’t get to do anything else but be on the show.”
Maisie is currently set to play a model, superfan and punk icon Jordan in Steve Jones’ biopic. The 6-episode-series begins production on March 7.

The seeds to the flower of success can be found in the most unexpected of places. There are times when it takes a while to realise our passion. When your passion becomes your job, work turns out to be enjoyable. Many Game of Thrones stars had their humble beginnings starting at a theatre, like Aidan Gillen. Then, there’s Liam Cunningham, who found his passion for acting in the green suburbs of Africa.
The 59-year-old actor who played Davos Seaworth on Game of Thrones recently talked to The Times, UK in an interview. He reflected on his time as an electrician in Africa. He said, “I came back from Africa at 25. Having been with 16 000 elephants, looking after the national park, which is the size of Belgium – when you go back to driving a yellow van around Dublin, it just doesn’t have the same glamour.”
“I was kind of bored after the expanse of Zimbabwe and was looking for a distraction. I saw an ad in the back of a newspaper for an acting school. I was looking for a hobby, but I completely fell in love with the process of acting. And hence you find me talking about Game of Thrones, 20-odd years later. Africa was the reason I became an actor.”
