Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey leaves The Worst Witch due to mental health issues
Game of Thrones star cast comprised of many phenomenal actors. There were few legends and many upcoming talents on the show. While on one hand, we had someone like Jonathan Pryce who was nominated for Oscars. It also had likes of Peter Dinklage who won many awards for the show.
However, even the most ardent critic of the show would agree that Bella Ramsey’s portrayal of Lyanna Mormont was the most fascinating aspect of the show. Unfortunately for Ramsey, she has run into health issues and has had to take a tough decision. Read on!
As per Metro, Bella Ramsey has decided to walk away from her show The Worst Witch to focus on her health. Ramsey had been playing the character of Mildred on the show for the past four years but has called it time now citing health concerns.
She announced the news herself on her Instagram and wrote:
‘Forever grateful for my time as Mildred in The Worst Witch, but there is a time for everything under the sun. And series four was my time to say goodbye to Mildred.’
She added:
‘Thank you fans for all your support, thank you to the crew over the three years, thank you to all the residents of Cackles Academy, thank you to Jill Murphy for this wonderful world you created. It was completely my decision to say goodbye for reasons I can’t really go into but to everyone reading this, please prioritize your mental health and do what’s right for you.’
Bella Ramsey was a little dynamite on Game of Thrones and it is really sad to see go through mental health issues at a young age of 16. It shows that a health issue can strike anytime and irrespective of the age. However, as Ramsey mentioned its important to prioritize one’s health.
We hope Ramsey recovers as soon as possible and we get to see a fine young talent do what she does best soon. Let us know your thoughts and send her wishes through the comments section.
