Prior to seeking therapy at a wellness retreat in May, Kit Harington had “lost his way” due to the stress of Game of Thrones finally ending, claims the show’s costume designer Michele Clapton. Speaking to Us Weekly, the Emmy-winning designer described Harington as a “sensitive soul” and revealed that he had been extremely emotional during the read-through for the final season.

Clapton believes that the actors, many of them first-timers, had become extremely involved with the show and it almost became their identity. In her words:

“They were children when they started. And it became such an enormous thing, and I think when you stop, it’s sort of a huge security blanket is taken away. I mean, they all became friends with each other, and then suddenly, there’s nothing to go back to. So I would imagine that had something to do with it. He lost his way a bit.”

Harington’s sensitive and introverted nature did not help matters, and his inability to cope with this loss was becoming visible to Clapton. She told the magazine:

“He was really a sensitive soul, and he was very upset in that final read through because I think it felt like home for [the cast], and they realized, ‘This is it.’ As much as he’s talented and will go on to many other things, I think it’s just after eight or nine years, it’s a big adjustment. I’m sure he’ll be OK, though.”

Harington was undergoing cognitive behavioural therapy and mindful meditation training to cope with stress, negative emotions, and alcohol abuse in a luxury wellness retreat in Connecticut. He was recently spotted out in London, after his rehab, and seems to be doing well.

The Game of Thrones, though seemingly ended in the series, will never end. As for the love between John Snow and his Queen, that also will never die. Though his Queen was carried off by Dragon, imagine her being brought to her land for healing . She survived other times when she should have died. Miracles do happen. Could the love she had for John Snow bring her back to life overcoming death and her fanatical need for Queendom of all? Only the writers know .

After watching “GOT” for the second time, my emotions are much stronger. I feel
like part of the scenes and cry so much. Does it have to end? I am not ready and
may never be. It’s part of my life.

Emilia Clarke has been the darling of masses for over a decade now. Ever since she started to play the role of Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones she has won fans all over the globe. She has now given the best possible news to those fans. Read on to find out more.

As per Celebretainment, Clarke recently confessed about being single and that she doesn’t like to date actors.

“I am single right now. Dating in this industry is interesting. I have a lot of funny anecdotes, a lot of stuff I can say at a fun dinner. I was [dating actors] but I’m not now. I mean, I wouldn’t say I’ve completely sworn off them, but I do think actor relationships that are successful are few and far between, and you have to have a ton of trust.”

We know that must have been music to million ears!

On the work front, after her Christmas release Last Christmas, Clarke has moved on to doing theatres and she is absolutely loving it. She is currently doing a play called The Seagulls.

“It’s something I care really deeply about, because it’s fucking acting, it’s proper!”

Clarke had shocked her fans months ago when she revealed that she was suffering from a life-threatening illness during the early stages of the show. When asked why she didn’t talk about it earlier. She said:

“Well, you know, then. You know the worries. That people will think your soul, your movement, your voice, who you were. It was nerve-racking to share it, to be honest. It always is, when you make yourself vulnerable. I didn’t want people to think of me as… sick.”

Clearly, Clarke has been through it all and she deserves a partner who understands her better.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) wants to do something like The Avengers

Game of Thrones set out a world of fantasy and wonder in front of us. The show mimicked the real world with boldness, ease, and grandeur. It was a big deal for all the actors involved in the HBO TV series. Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, spearheaded the show as one of the few main characters who survived till the end. Game of Thrones will always be a big part of her, no matter how bittersweet it tasted. But since the show is over, and Emilia is doing different things, could we expect something from her in the genre of fantasy again? The actress recently talked about her desire to do the same during an interview with The Times at the rehearsal space of her upcoming play, The Seagull. Read on!

Emilia discussed her future projects and the possibility of doing something fantasy-filled. “I think, if I did, it would be me having a giggle. I want to do something absolutely stupid or silly, like you know, The Avengers or whatever. Something where I got to have a giggle with mates,” she revealed. There’s no surprise that Clarke would want to do something like that, especially as so many of her fellow GoT mates have already gone their separate superhero-ways.

Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Richard Madden (Robb Stark) are already working on Marvel’s The Eternals, a key film in phase two of MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe); Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) has starred in one of the Avenger movies, The Avengers: Infinity War; Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) played Jean Grey in the recent X-Men movies; Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) will star in The New Mutants this April, and Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) is Aquaman!

While there are as many as nine projects in the pipeline for her, she isn’t sure which one would go ahead first; many of them are “dark” in nature. She also talked about the role of fate in her journey. “I very much feel my career is something that’s happened to me; as opposed to the other way round,” she said. It would be great if Emilia’s Avengers wish happened too, and we see her don an avatar of a superhero in a Marvel film. We don’t know which slots are empty for Khaleesi, but a suit would suit her well for sure! We hope Kevin Feige is listening.

The English actress is currently busy with the run of her West End theatre drama, Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull. It’s playing in the Playhouse Theatre, London from March 11 till May 30, 2020.

So, which role do you guys feel Emilia could play in an Avengers or Marvel film? Tell us in the comments below.

Emilia Clarke was annoyed that Jon Snow “got away with murder”

Game of Thrones, Game of Thrones! We will keep talking and talking, and the discussions won’t end. Just what George R.R. Martin could feel about his song. Celebrity interviews reveal so much about the show they worked on that one wonders at the multiple levels actors operate upon. As the show becomes a distant truth in the past, and the cast moves on with other things in life, they could get more and more honest with their opinions about it. Emilia Clarke, our very own (yes, despite the ending) Daenerys Targaryen, opened up a little more about her feelings regarding Game of Thrones and the whirlwind final season while talking to The Times at the rehearsal space of her upcoming West End play, The Seagull.

The treatment that the mother of dragons received in the last season of Game of Thrones was something that irked a lot of fans. But what about Emilia? Did it bother her? “Yeah, I felt for her. I really felt for her. And yeah, was I annoyed that Jon Snow didn’t have to deal with something?… He got away with murder – literally;” she let out.

The hateful reaction that the show got from so many people around the globe, has been surprising for a lot of cast members. However, Emilia did take the audience into account when she took stock of it all. “When the show did end, it was like coming out of a bunker. Everything felt really strange. Then obviously to have the backlash it did… I knew how I felt when I first read it, and I tried at every turn, not to consider too much what other people might say, but I did always consider what the fans might think; because we did it for them, and they were the ones who made us successful, so… it’s just polite, isn’t it?” Clarke said.

The first six seasons were a treat for the fans, the build-up, the pace! But the last two seasons came under immense scrutiny, for having seven and six episodes respectively; as opposed to the usual count of ten. This was namely because a good number of people thought that the creators, David Benioff and Dan Weiss, hurried the story to its end; not giving ample time for the character-arcs to mature properly. Emilia echoed this opinion at least partly, “We could have spun it out for a little longer,” she said. The talk about the need for more dialogue in the final season led to her saying, “It was all about the set pieces. I think the sensational nature of the show was, possibly given a huge amount of airtime because that’s what makes sense.”

Furthermore, she reacted whether she was happy about the timing of the ending, “I mean, ‘happy’ is a funny word. It’s a strong word. Again, the show was so big. I was a small cog in a very, very, very big machine”. Being the subject of so much attention as part of Game of Thrones, she said, “Doing a show so many people had opinions about doesn’t serve your creativity at any level.

Emilia Clarke will play Nina in Anya Reiss’ adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull. The play opened at the Playhouse Theater, London on March 11, and it’ll go on till May 30, 2020. We wish her the best of luck for all that lies ahead. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments section.
