WarnerMedia CEO teases Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon’s virtual sets
Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is one of the high-priority projects at HBO currently underway. The production is moving swiftly at Leavesden Studios despite hitting some minor obstacles along the way, as indicated by the regular leaks occurring all over the internet. And it seems like the show might be here sooner than we expected initially, true to George R. R. Martin’s word. HBO is leaving no stones unturned in creating hype for the upcoming series, from teases to several leaks, although we are still waiting for the first full trailer. WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar joined the teasing game as well, as he shares an inside peek at the Leavesden Studio.
When it comes to storytelling, leaning into the future is a ton of fun. One example is this massive virtual production stage we created earlier this yr at @WBSLeavesden lot outside London. While filming at foreign locations wrapped up almost entirely in 2021, the production is going on at Leavesden Studios, with the crew and the cast busy rendering final touches to the much-anticipated series. Kilar uploaded a few pictures from the virtual set, with the caption:
“When it comes to storytelling, leaning into the future is a ton of fun. One example is this massive virtual production stage we created earlier this yr at @WBSLeavesden lot outside London. Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon currently uses this amazing tech. A game changer.“
Another crew member also provided a sneak peek of the set, which looks quite intriguing.
