Video Game legend Hideo Kojima meets Game of Thrones showrunner, gets warned by fans

Not everyone found Season 8 of Game of Thrones to be enjoyable. The fan base was split in half after the season finale. While one was happy with the conclusion, the other insisted on a remake. Some theorized the lack of source material due to George R. R. Martin’s slow writing speed. Meanwhile, others pointed the finger at the showrunners for sparking curiosity in a Star Wars feature picture trilogy with Disney’s Lucasfilm. And a lot of fans are still scarred by that experience.

Game of Thrones fans warn Hideo Kojima

Avid fans of video games are quite familiar with the name, Hideo Kojima. Kojima is the developer behind the famous Metal Gear Solid video games, and his game recently got greenlit for a live-action adaptation. He recently met up with Game of Thrones showrunner D.B.Weiss, and fans are warning him not to pick him for his project, recalling their own experience with the HBO epic. Some of them wrote on Twitter (X):

Who is Hideo Kojima?

Few persons have contributed as much to the advancement of video games as an art form as Hideo Kojima in the gaming industry. The Japanese video game director, best known for the Metal Gear series, has been releasing beloved and highly regarded video games for more than thirty years. Due to his distinct and eccentric style, he has amassed a devoted following that looks forward to his next endeavors. Oscar Isaac will play the protagonist in a live-action version of his cult classic Metal Gear Solid.
