Game of Thrones is a show so big that there is little chance that you can go watching TV for a day without spotting at least one of the stars of the show somewhere. Now, as we all know, one of the most memorable stars from the show, Jason Momoa, who played the role of Khal Drogo on the show, is now starring in the new DC Comics film, Justice League, as Aquaman. However, it seems like he is not the only Game of Thrones star in on the roster! There’s another, and you probably didn’t recognize this one!
Now, SPOILER ALERT! Justice League has a big baddie, like you would expect it to, and the bad guy this time is Steppenwolf. Take a look at him, below :
There’s a good chance you found his voice eerily familiar, but couldn’t tell who he was. Steppenwolf is actually played by Ciarán Hinds, who played the role of Mance Rayder, the leader of the free folk, on Game of Thrones!
Hinds didn’t just voice the villain, but also played him through a motion capture suit. He talked about how it was :
“They stick a helmet on your head, they put two cameras around, and they capture all your expressions, facial expressions,” Hinds told the BBC of filming his scenes separate from the superhero squad. “So basically, they’re going to concoct some kind of construction and they will use my facial expressions – eyes, mouth, voice – they’ll turn into this murderous, avenging Steppenwolf from the planet Apokolips, apparently, who’s bent on hell on Earth.”
So, how many of you actually realized who played Steppenwolf in the film?
