When Game of Thrones first aired, Sean Bean’s Ned Stark was one of the most beloved characters on the show. Alas, his character didn’t survive the first season (something Sean is notoriously famous for). Ned Stark’s death did build the foundation for the Stark children to fulfil their destiny. Two years after the completion of the fantasy series, a new play about Robert Baratheon’s rebellion is under works at Broadway. The drama will bring back several of the fan-favourite characters including Ned Stark and Jaime Lannister. Let’s see what Sean Bean, who played the noble Lord of Winterfell, has to say about that.

Bean recently talked to The New York Times in an interview about his series The Snowpiercer. On being asked about the play, he said, “Is that King Robert Baratheon? I keep hearing about so many different remakes. I mean, there’s a “Lord of the Rings” series coming, too. I might be too old to play Ned Stark again. That’s the trouble, isn’t it? It depends on how far you go back, doesn’t it? I’d love to reprise the role. Maybe they could do that thing they did with Robert De Niro in “The Irishman,” do a few alterations! [Laughs.] I don’t see why not.”

Some actors in Hollywood are famous for their macho style. Jason Momoa has made a name for himself in that category, in each of his roles. Be it Khal Drogo of Game of Thrones, or Arthur Curry of Aquaman, the actor reeks of badassery. He has done it yet again as Duncan Idaho in the latest movie adaptation of the sci-fi novel Dune.

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the actor shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated film. It doesn’t disappoint, but parents, be warned that it is not aimed at kids:

“I got to see it. It was really cool because my kids were up here, and so we got to take them to it. The first time I got to see something like that with my kids, it’s a very adult movie, but so beautiful.”

Momoa also wants to make a film with Dwayne Johnson. During the interview with Fallon, Momoa explained why it hasn’t happened yet. “We tried to get together and make a movie together but it’s just he’s way busier than I am and I’m pretty busy right now so, one of these days.”

We will! And it’s really cool because now he’s kind of in my pocket so I can call him up and be like, ‘Yo!’ and I got him.

Meanwhile, Momoa will appear alongside another wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista in season 2 of the Apple TV+ series See. Are you excited about Dune? Talk to us in the comments below!

Emilia Clarke is one of the most familiar faces from the vast cast of Game of Thrones. Though she is famous mostly for her role ‘Daenerys Targaryen’ on the show, she has played major characters in various projects over the past few years. Emilia portrayed Qi’ra in the Star Wars spinoff Solo: A Star Wars Story. Clarke has responded to the return of her Solo character to the Star Wars universe, admitting it means so much.

Emilia played Qi’ra in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, and fans have been questioning if we could see her back after the Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters comic book hinted at Qi’ra’s potential return. However, as of right now, it sounds like there are no plans for the character to pop up on the big screen.

“I have heard nothing. Absolutely nothing,” Emilia said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “I loved Qi’ra. Loved her, really, really did. I loved Han, I loved the story, I loved the people, I loved the experience,” she said.

“It was one of those ones where if you know too much about a celebrity, and you go and watch that movie and you’re just thinking about how many kids Angelina Jolie has,” she said of the project. “Everyone went in knowing what our dirty laundry looked like. And you couldn’t separate that gossip from the overall experience,” she added, but noted she was “so over the moon that people are posthumously enjoying it”.

Comic books own a massive fandom today, thanks to the various TV and movie adaptations we’ve seen in the past few decades. The superhero genre practically rules the entertainment industry right now, prime examples being MCU and DCEU. Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke has recently signed up for a role in Marvel’s Secret Invasion. The actress is keen on exploring more comic book universes. She will now co-write a comic herself.

Clarke will write her first superhero comic book series M.O.M.: Mother of Madness from Image Comics this July. And she gave a subtle nod to the fact her character is inspired by Daenerys from Game of Thrones.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, she said, “It didn’t come out of nowhere. I wanted Maya to be a single mother; I wanted that first and foremost,” Clarke tells The Hollywood Reporter. “So I’m not going to say I’m Jenny from the Block, but it’s an acknowledgement of how I’m able to give this beautiful fanbase this other thing that I did because they supported me and gave me the props when I was doing [Game of Thrones].”
