Peter Dinklage talks about the dark prank he played on the sets of Game Of Thrones
Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) completed filming Game of Thrones Season 8 back in July and we’ve been waiting to see his character arc in the new season. He recently won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Well, recently he also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live – a famous American late-night talk show where he discussed winning the Emmy and much more. Read on.
Talking about the pranks he played on his co-stars and crew members on the set, Dinklage told Kimmel: “I like to pretend I’m dead. It’s always fun…For whoever, the wardrobe person or the producers. Just my legs sprawled out in the trailer. You got to get really smushed into the floor in a very awkward position…I’ll wait hours. We have a lot of time on set.”

Peter had revealed at the Emmys that he can’t walk down on the street anymore because of the show. Clarifying the same, he said:
“They say – it’s a blessing and a curse…I love the fans…but sometimes they can follow you for several blocks and…one block is okay…but, once they are around the other block and meet you at the next corner, then the creepy radar goes.”
This is all because Peter has batched up a number of fans and they keep stalking him wherever he goes. Many fans even get tattoos with his face on them. Peter said:
“Which is strange…because they are getting the Tyrion tattoo…and I am Tyrion, so they are really just getting me tattooed all over themselves…”
Dinklage also revealed that his mother didn’t know that it was his third Emmy but rather thought it was his second time. Upon being asked if it was exciting for the third time, he confidently replied, “It will be really exciting the fourth time.”
A statement from the actor about his co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) “He’s my brother from another mother,” led the internet theorize that it could potentially be a direct reference to the Lannister brothers. Peter clarified:
“I loved all that…I would like to think that I’d be smart enough not to just blurt out spoilers in front of the viewers of the Emmys…”
