Olympian dressed as Jaime Lannister wows fans by skating to the Game of Thrones soundtrack
Game of Thrones is a massive fandom that has its roots pretty much every which where. As some of you might know, while the show films for its final season, and showing the perils of winter, the Winter Olympics are currently going on, and in a recent event, we saw some Game of Thrones love. Read on!
The Winter Olympics are currently going on at Pyeongchang, South Korea. The viewers of the figure skating had a wonderful experience as German figure skater Paul Fentz dedicated his performance in the men’s long program competition, to Jaime Lannister, by dressing up as him and skating to the soundtrack of Game of Thrones. It has been said that Fentz loves the show, and the love was seen in his four-and-a-half minute performance. His costume was complete with a Kingsguard-y looking top, a golden glove on his right hand, a strip of red cloth at the wrist signifying the chopped off hand.
Fentz didn’t win, and placed quite low, since the performance wasn’t his best, but boy did he win hearts. The internet has been going crazy over the performance and it’s safe to say he went home with a lot more fans than he had come with. Better luck to him next time!
