New photos from Spain hint at a dramatic scene involving Daenerys and Missandei

As the actors continue to film some pivotal scenes in Spain for Game of Thrones season 7, and Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Nathalie Emmanuel and others have been pretty busy filming some important parts these days. Latest photos shared by Daily Mail reveal that Emilia filmed a rather dramatic scene with Nathalie in Zumaia. Take a look at them below:

Emilia Clarke and Nathalie Emmanuel are having stern expressions while walking and it appears that they were shooting a tense scene while the cameras were rolling.

In one of the photo, we can see Emilia Clarke leaping from the steps while the cameras were rolling. Now we can’t say what was happening in the scene as the show uses special effects later on to add elements like dragons or explosions or other things that the scene demands and it’s tough to tell what might be happening just by looking at this photo.

Spain is gearing up at many other of its locations as the production sets up in preparation for the filming of Game of Thrones season 7 to continue.

Game of Thrones prequel series is something all fans look forward to in the era of the long night – we will soon have once the main series ends. While a couple of days ago we reported a number of filming updates like the Cushendon Caves being used again for the pilot, today bring you another big update right from the prime filming location of Belfast.

Well, the hopes are high for the prequel series and as Richard Plepler says, they are trying their best to “re-engineer the genes of what Game of Thrones was”. Recently, one of our sources sent us pictures of the Titanic Studios of Belfast in Northern Ireland and reported the appearance of green screens in and around the set. If you’ve been a Game of Thrones fan like me, you would know that most of the filming of the epic series was done here and now we seem to have room for more.

While the construction of the set was previously reported, these green screens only mean that the pilot is ready to start filming and we can soon expect some more updates.

And, there’s more interesting news as our source tells us that David Nutter might return to direct the pilot for the prequel and he was seen in Belfast recently.

Nutter has directed three episodes in the ongoing final season of Game of Thrones namely Episode 1 (Winterfell), Episode 2 (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) and Episode 4 (The Last of the Starks). So, we can hope for more from him in the prequel series.

Update: We now have a better look at the wooden structure that is being built and the huge screen. Also, you can see that cargo containers have been placed in front of the set to hide it.

Game of Thrones Season 8 ends this May, but the essence remains as the prequel series in development returns to our TV screens in 2020 or in close vicinity. The series will feature the stories of Starks of the legend, the origin of the White Walkers, and much more. Since you might not have heard of it lately, today we bring you some exclusive filming updates.

Starting with a filming location we’re already familiar with – the Cushendon Caves – sources tell us that the filming for the pilot has already started over here. And, it is the same location we saw Melisandre travelling with Ser Davos Seaworth back in Season Two. These caves are located in Northern Ireland.

Our sources also tell us that some wolves were bred for the series which makes us believe that it will feature more Direwolves.

The official description of the series reads:

“Taking place thousands of years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ the series chronicles the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend … it’s not the story we think we know.”

We have been told that the prequel will also answer the question to why Direwolves are important to the North. This way, the prequel series based on the Age of Heroes will give us the origin of major houses like House Stark, House Lannister, and much more.

The series will also tell us about the origin story of how some of the important castles in Westeros were raised. This makes us believe that we will come to know about the foundation of some of the oldest Houses and their seat of power – especially Winterfell as it is linked to the first men and the founder of the house Bran the Builder.

And, as Richard Plepler suggests, the series is:

“…something special. We weren’t just trying to re-engineer the genes of what ‘Game of Thrones’ was, but we had a fresh, exciting perspective that didn’t let the franchise go away.”

This gives us the hope that Game of Thrones won’t die even after David Benioff and Dan Weiss are off-board this time. Though it can be confirmed that direwolves will be a part of the series, yet if there were dragons too, it would really be like icing on the cake!

Game of Thrones Season 8 is nearly here, and we are in the final circle now. The interview bits from press junkets are rolling in. The latest one is hilarious, and features the cast of the show trying to pronounce the Khaleesi‘s name, despite multiple attempts, and failing. Read on!

On their press tour, in a sit-down with the LA Times, the cast of Game of Thrones were asked to spell out “Daenerys Targaryen“, and hilarity ensued. Check out the video:

The funniest part about this video is Iain Glenn (Jorah Mormont) giving up trying to spell the name out, and Conleth Hill (Varys) not even going for an attempt saying he’s got nothing to prove.

Also struggling were Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Conleth Hill (Varys), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) and Carice Van Houten (Melisandre), and failing. The only actor who passed the spelling test was Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), which we’re sure will make Emilia Clarke proud.

In other news, production on the Game of Thrones prequel seems to have started, and in the early stages. We got some exclusive information and a picture of the same. Our source tells us that the set building has begun on the Antrim coast in Ireland. They have the base built up, and they’ve started to bring in equipment like the toilets and port-a-cabins.
