In the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, the Targaryens and their dragons were thriving in Westeros around 200 years before to the events of the main series. The creator of Game of Thrones, George R. R. Martin, has also verified that the program features 17 dragons, a significant increase above the number in the first series. One of them, Moondancer, will be making her debut in House of the Dragon Season 2.

Moondancer is the “rockstar” among Targaryen dragons

In the book ‘House of the Dragon: Inside the Creation of a Targaryen Dynasty’, Creature designer Constantine Serkeris, described Moondancer as “the rock star of the group.” Moondancer is Baela Targaryen’s dragon with light green scales, horns, and a mohawk, and will arrive in House of the Dragon Season 2.
Serkeris further said, “She’s the punk rocker. She has more of a mohawk and a vibrant green color palette with an intricate pattern design on her skin.”
