Meera Reed's possible absence in Game Of Thrones season 8 might kill a major fan theory
Game of Thrones has had a lot of characters and they have had some weird and beautiful relations between them. The show has always had a thing for crossed parentages, and most of the show’s fan theory’s are based on alternate parentage and the sorts. Now, most of the mysteries have pretty much solved themselves, but there are a few theories that have been left for the final season, and one of the biggest ones might have already been solved! Read on!
Recently we reported that the actress who plays Meera Reed, Ellie Kendrick revealed in an interview that she hasn’t still received any intimation that she needs to be back for Season 8 of Game of Thrones, which means that a major theory attached to her character might just die off. Now, the theory we are talking about is that Meera Reed is actually Jon Snow‘s twin sister.
Now, as you know, Ned Stark rescues a newly born Jon Snow from the Tower of Joy, and his friend, Howland Reed, accompanies him to the tower. This gave rise to the whole theory that Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen gave birth to twins, and while one of them is Jon Snow, taken home by Ned as his own, the other was Meera, taken by Howland Reed.
The last time we saw Meera was when she left Bran Stark in safety, at Winterfell, and got that really awkward thank you. It seems highly unlikely that she will return for Season 8, so it looks like that theory is dead. In the books, however, we still cannot say. Anything might happen. What do you think? Could this theory come true in the books? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
