Max Wrottesley (Ser Lorent Marbrand) says he’s lucky to work with Emma D’Arcy

Fans of House of the Dragon Season 2 are eagerly anticipating its debut in the summer of 2024 after seeing the teaser video for the show recently. As of right now, the teaser for the HBO prequel series to Game of Thrones has received over 6.3 million views. The stars of the show have formed close bonds, and are in awe of each others’ talents. Emma D’Arcy has managed to woo critics all over the internet, and their co-stars have talked about what a delight they are on set.

Max Wrottesley calls Emma D’Arcy “excellent”

Wrottesley plays a member of Queensguard Ser Lorent Marbrand. He swore his allegiance to Queen Rhaenyra in Season 1, and will have a bigger role to play in Season 2. In a recent chat with Voice of Oldtown, Wrottesly said,

“I’m really lucky to work with people like Emma who is extraordinary and always, you know, turns up to work so prepared and so ready to kick ass…The pressure is not on my shoulders, the pressure is on the big leads and on [showrunner Ryan Condal] and the people who are kind of, I suppose carrying it. So for me, it’s just been a joy to be a part of [this]. More pressure like this, please. I’ll take plenty more.”

Max Wrottesley recalls spending a lot of time at the Painted table

The painted glowing table at Dragonstone is one of the highlighted props from Season 1. Wrottesley recalled filming scenes around the table, “Well, I spent a lot of time around the Painted Table. We spent a lot of hours in there. Having good company makes the day go really well, so having people like Nicholas Jones and Phil Daniels and Emma and, you know, and other new cast members I won’t mention names of…it’s a happy gang…we keep each other laughing quite a lot.”
