Lights, Camera, and… Action! It seems that filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has finally commenced in the Portuguese city of stone, Monsanto, and several pictures from the set are already leaking out on social media platforms, as curious locals try to capture a sneak peek at the set. Fans have been speculating for a long time about who’s who in the upcoming prequel series, and we have the answer to most of them. The show’s star Matt Smith, who will be playing the Rogue Prince Daemon Targaryen, was recently spotted close to the set.

As seen in the picture released by House the Dragons Twitter account, Smith is taking a stroll in costume, wearing Daemon’s wig close to the House of The Dragon set along with a crew member. Locals have also reported seeing Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen) on set, and hopefully, we’ll get more pictures of the shoot in near future.
