Maisie Williams joins Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston in Nick Park's animated movie Early Man
Game of Thrones has had a magnificent cast over the years, and some of the cast members for whom the series was their first big break, have since gotten opportunities to join sone pretty big projects. One of such cast members is Maisie Williams, and you might remember her starring in a Netflix film titlediBoy, recently. Now she has joined another big project. Oscar-winner Nick Park, who created Wallace & Gromit, is currently working on his next animated feature film, titled Early Man, and Maisie Williams will voice one of the lead characters in it!
Maisie will be joining the star-studded cast, which includes Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne, and Tom Hiddleston. The feature is currently under production at Aardman Animation studios. Maisie will be voicing Goona, a rebellious character (of course), who is shown to strike up a friendship with the main character, Dug, played by Redmayne. The prehistoric caveman comedy adventure will show Dug in the middle of the clash of Stone Age and Bronze Age civilizations. Talking about this project, Maisie said :
“I’m a huge Aardman fan – having the chance to work with Nick Park is a dream come true, especially as I get to voice such a fantastic character as Goona. I can’t wait for audiences to meet her.”
Speaking about casting Maisie, Park said :
“Maisie is a terrific actress, and she is of course no stranger to embodying a valiant heroine. I’m most excited to see her breathe life into Goona – I know she’ll be the perfect ally to Eddie’s Dug.”
Das ma girl!
