Maisie Williams accidentally dropped a huge Game of Thrones Season 8 spoiler
Game of Thrones Season 8 is right around the corner, and the cast interviews are amping up. We have several stars of the show appear on various talk shows recently. The latest one was by Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) on the Jimmy Fallon Live!, and she just dropped a major spoiler about Season 8. Read on!
Maisie was in the middle of her interview, discussing Arya Stark and her evolution over the years. Fallon made a joke about how she cannot even give him a “crumbs” about Season 8. They also talked about the infamous HBO memos, and other anti-spoiler protocols they followed. However, Maisie proceeded to drop a massive spoiler herself. Watch the video:
Of course, the whole thing was a big April fools prank, as the pair revealed at the end. Hilarious!
Maisie was very convincing, however, and even with our awareness of the date, we still almost fell for the prank. Needless to say, Arya Stark will not die in the second episode of Season 8. Or will she? Could it be an even more elaborate prank where the joke was that we were made to believe the spoiler was a fake one? We’ll have to wait and find out when the show premieres.
Game of Thrones returns April 14.
The day is finally here! Game Of Thrones Season 8 premiere is about to begin in some time and the stars of the show have started arriving. Luckily, the fans who aren’t in New York to watch the premiere can watch the live stream that’s being broadcast by Yahoo Entertainment. We will be sharing more info about the season 8 premiere. So keep on checking our site for more details.
Game of Thrones is returning this April with less than 11 days for its premiere. We’ve been so far treated with the official trailer, a bunch of new promos and footages along with a spooky official teaser that portrays all major characters dead. But, though HBO tries to propel us in that direction yet we can’t ship all the major characters dying. Then, to lighten up our mood a bit HBO recently released a bunch of new promo photos via the express. Let’s have a look and analyse what each one means.
There are a lot of expectations from the first episode of the eight season – the reveal of Jon Snow’s parentage, a number of reunions, and much more. The new promotional photos from the episode seem to be pointing at the same. Starting off from King’s Landing, we can see Cersei Lannister and her hand Qyburn in the Throne room. They are perhaps addressing Euron Greyjoy and Harry Strickland from Golden Company.
Next, are two images of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen perhaps just before making their way to Winterfell. Jon seems to be showing his home to his love interest/aunt-in-disguise from a distance.
Next, are a few glimpses from Daenerys and crew’s arrival to Winterfell. Starting off with a still of Daenerys who seems to be standing next to Jon – you can tell from his furry cloak. You can also see Tyrion Lannister and Missandei in the background.
Up next are the Starks. Sansa Stark seems to be all ready to give Daenerys and Jon a warm welcome with Bran Stark and Brienne of Tarth by her side.
Next still among the promo photos is of Jorah Mormont and Ser Davos Seaworth – the trustees of Dany and Jon standing together, followed by a still of Jorah and Dany.
Up next are Jon and Daenerys together. I’m not sure if these two are standing together during the opening scene or in a later shot standing over the Winterfell Battlements.
Next shot is of a spider seated in a cart. I mean, literally Lord Varys in a cart on his way to Winterfell.
Next, are a number of photos of Winterfell Great Hall where you can find a bunch of characters like Lyanna Mormont, Tyrion, Ser Davos, Yohn Royce, Brienne of Tarth, and Dany.
Next, are two stills of Jorah and Daenerys in what appears to be a room full of scrolls and books. Perhaps this is Sansa’s room or Samwell Tarly or Bran’s room. But, I can’t still figure out the purpose of them being there perhaps to have a discussion.
The final shot in the promo photos that interests me a lot is of Sansa Stark – the Lady of Winterfell in a brand new armour, perhaps from Episode 2. This is the armour that she was talking about in a couple of previous interviews. Her armour actually seems to have derived or taken reference from Arya Stark – lady you really need to stop copying traits!
So, what were your thoughts on these brand new promotional photos? How excited are you for the final season of Game of Thrones?
Game Of Thrones Season 8 airs on 14th April, 9 PM in USA and on Hotstar at the same time, which translates to a Monday, 15th April, 6:30 am IST stream for the Indian fans.
HBO is really amping up the Game of Thrones Season 8 promotions. They went from taking a long, long time to drop the Season 8 trailer, to dropping teasers at the rate of almost 1 per day for the last three days. The brand new teaser dropped today is called “Aftermath“, and it’ll guaranteed to add to your Season 8 worries. Read on!
HBO began this rampage by dropping a teaser to reignite the hype, followed by one teasing a much anticipated reunion. Now HBO seems to have gone all out and warned us with a teaser showing what’s coming for us. Check it out:
Spoiler alert!
Now, we know there’s a big battle that will happen at Winterfell, when the Army of the Dead goes up against the living one. We have heard reports that say that this battle is likely to leave Winterfell burnt to the ground.
It’s going to be in the third episode of Season 8, being directed by Miguel Sapochnik. It’s safe to say we’ll lose a large chunk of characters to this battle. This teaser shows the Longclaw in the snow, laced with blood, hinting that Jon Snow might have been hurt, if not killed. The aftermath of the Battle of Winterfell.
And then comes the scare, a figure in the background, walking at the pace of a Wight. It looks like Jon Snow, and the “Aftermath” might be hinting at him becoming a wight.
Of course, it’s possible he’s still alive here, or that it’s not actually Jon. It’s also possible this footage is actually not from Season 8, but specifically shot for the teaser, just like the Crypts of Winterfell teaser.
