Kit Harington wants to cut his hair after finishing Game of Thrones
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been hearing about Game of Thrones stars finishing filming for the final season, one by one. More recently, we saw Emilia Clarke who plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen, bid goodbye to the show, forever. Another key cast member, Liam Cunningham, who plays the role of Ser Davos Seaworth, said that he’s waiting for the show to finish filming to shave his iconic beard off. Now Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, has said that he’s planning on cutting his hair off after he’s done filming for Game of Thrones. Read on!
Now, we all know what a huge subject Kit’s hair has been. Back when Jon Snow died and we were all sitting here and speculating as to whether he’s actually dead, the length of Kit’s hair was discussed an awful lot. Let’s not forget, the hair quite defines Jon Snow on the show, so to see it gone will be the ultimate signal of the show ending. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kit talked about his plans to snap out of character after Game of Thrones:
“I’d like to step away and enjoy the obscurity, cut my hair, make myself less recognizable as the character, and go do and some other things with a completely new look and tone.”
He was asked exactly how short he will be cutting his hair, and the response is not looking good for his fangirls:
“Short-short. The beard will be harder to get rid of — I quite like the beard. I like having the long hair and beard both, but it will be like ritualistic thing. I can’t go into my next role looking the same. This role was brilliant, but I’ll need to get rid of Jon Snow.”
Well, it looks like we’re going to be seeing our stars look completely different post Game of Thrones, which is going to be at least a bit unsettling. However in the meantime, let’s keep an eye out for makeovers, because it’s now a confirmation that the actor in question is done filming for the final season of Game of Thrones.
