Kit Harington doesn't care about that famous Jon Snow theory

We all know that the Game of Thrones fandom is a massive one. The fact that it’s based on a series of novels, just adds to that. As such, the fandom has no shortage of fan theories. The interesting thing is that quite a lot of them are about the brooding man in black, Jon Snow.

We all saw one theory about Jon’s parentage come true last season. Now, Kit Harington, who portrays Jon Snow has commented on another famous theory about his character, and he doesn’t really seem to care much for it. Read on!

The theory in question is about the prophecy of “The Prince That Was Promised.” It talks about how there was a warrior who saved the world, and that he will be resurrected, to save the world again. Many believe Jon Snow to be the reincarnation. The gods know the seven kingdoms need saving. The Huffington Post recently talked to Kit Harington about this theory. Kit said :

“I think you have to wait and see what happens this year, and if we find out anything more about Jon. I think Jon would hate the term ‘The Prince That Was Promised.’ If someone turned to him and said, ‘You’re The Prince That Was Promised,’ he just wouldn’t pay much attention. That’s what I love about him, so I don’t really care about it either. You know, I think that’s what’s great about him. He’s got very little ego on him.”

So just like Jon Snow, Kit doesn’t seem to care about the titles too much, either.

There is enough proof to keep the theory alive. First of all, the Prince is said to be born “beneath a bleeding star.” As we saw at the end of Season 6, Jon was born in the Tower of Joy, and Ned Stark leaves Ser Arthur Dayne’s sword, Dawn, at the foot of the bed on which his sister gave birth to Jon. It has been said that the sword was made from “the heart of a fallen star,” and it has Dayne’s blood all over it, which could easily be the “bleeding star” reference. That’s not it, Melisandre also tells Ser Davos that Jon is the Prince, in Season 6. However, we know Melisandre can be wrong, so take that with a grain of salt.
