King's Landing set at Titanic Studios, Belfast almost completes construction. Adds a new gate
Game of Thrones Season 8 is supposed to be the last of the bunch, and as such the production is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the quality of this season surpasses everything done before. Now, we have seen this being brought to life with the sets that Game of Thrones has had before, and it seems like the show has invested greatly in multiple sets for the final season. Apparently the construction on Season 8 King’s Landing set is now almost finished. Read on!
Now, we know that the King’s Landing set is located at the Titanic Studios, Belfast, Northern Ireland, and the production has been building it up for a about six months now, and it looks like the construction is now nearly done. Let’s check out some pictures:

The two towers stand on the sides of a broken gate, which seems to have been recently built, and you can see a white tower further in. Twitter user A Red Priestess managed to get a few more pictures showing the set up close, almost ready:
Better camera, better pictures! They’re now building a proper entrance, which makes me think that they first shoot the scenes where the city is destroyed?#GameOfThrones #TitanicQuarter pic.twitter.com/naZ8SUrpDi

The set is quite ambitious, and the biggest one that the production has built ever, and we know that it cost over £1million ($1.38 million). It has been built in addition to the King’s Landing filming that Game of Thrones did at Dubrovnik, Croatia, which points to the fact that we will be having a good amount of filming showing King’s Landing.
Excited for Season 8 yet? We sure are! Talk to us in the comments, down below!
