Jaime Lannister to sport a 'fully bearded' look in Game of Thrones Season 8

Game of Thrones fans want to know every little detail about the final season, and given that it’s the final season, it’s understandable, so here we are. As you know, the show is filming for the final Season 8 now, and we have been getting the set updates from the filming locations. Today however, we have a character update. Our favourite anti-hero, Jaime Lannister, will be sporting a bearded look in the final season. Read on!

Short List recently did a phone interview with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays the role of Jaime Lannister on the show, and asked him about his “beard situ” for Game of Thrones Season 8, to which he replied:

“I’m shooting the last season of Thrones. Generally speaking, I’m not crazy-hairy, but I have a full beard. Call me Hairy Styles.”

The last we saw him with a full beard was back in Season 3 when he lost a hand while on the move with Brienne of Tarth. He’s supposed to be on the road yet again, having left Cersei behind, so it looks like we’ll see him with a beard. We actually have a picture of what Nikolaj is looking like right now, thanks to this tweet:

That’s a good look. Nikolaj also talked a bit more about Jaime’s big haircut in Season 4 where he changed his look, and which was pretty much the point by which the Game of Thrones fandom had finally accepted that we don’t hate Jaime after all:

“He was due a haircut. Especially after spending two seasons dragged through the mud. There was a big change in the character, so a haircut is a way to signal that.”

What do you think will happen to Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones Season 8? Could he be the one that ends up on the Iron Throne in the end? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
