House of The Dragon writer and producer Sara Hess arrives in Cáceres

Fans of House of The Dragon were left wanting more after the first season; the program had already been renewed for a second season before the season finale aired. Given that it requires a lot of effort, preparation, patience, cooperation between numerous departments, and a sizable budget, it can take some time before the second season is eventually here. The cast and the crew are already in Spain to continue filming Season 2.

The filming is currently going on at Cáceres and Trujillo in Spain as we speak, and several members of the House of The Dragon cast have been spotted on site. Yesterday, the show’s writer and co-executive producer Sara Hess was seen in Cáceres, alongside Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra). This means a number of important scenes will be captured in Spain.

In a recent post on his blog Not A Blog, George R. R. Martin confirmed that the scripts for House of The Dragon have been completed, and won’t be rewritten, hence ensuring that filming for Season 2 moves on flawlessly.
