Catspaw in House of the Dragon, in fire

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is the most hyped show of 2022. So far it has checked out all the parameters that were placed before its premiere. The first three episodes have been well-received by fans and critics alike. We are already looking forward to watching the fourth episode, and the promo that was released by HBO right after the third is a precursor to everything violent that is going to happen next.

Season 1 Episode 4 Preview | House of the Dragon (HBO)

The preview begins with a closer look at the Catspaw dagger, a weapon that was central to the story of Game of Thrones, and now House of The Dragon. Rhaenyra heats the dagger on a flame, and retells Aegon’s dream, something we have heard before. King Viserys I Targaryen first mentioned the dream to Rhaenyra towards the end of the premiere episode, joining the two series in one neat easter egg.

Daemon has returned from the War of Stepstones, wearing a crown signifying he is now the king of that region. However, we know that he will not be welcomed with open arms and smiles. There are shots that also show Daemon is up to something.

King Viserys is torn between his choices, who should he name the heir to the Iron Throne – his psycho brother, his teenage daughter, or his three-year-old son.
