Here’s why the internet is savagely roasting Jason Momoa’s ‘Dune’ character

Dune is one of the most successful sci-fi movies of this year, and if successful we might be looking at one of the best fantasy-based movie series of the decade. It has already garnered a lot of attention due to its amazing star cast, which includes Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa. Jason Momoa plays a badass space warrior Duncan Idaho, and he loves his character. However, all his badassery couldn’t save his character from getting roasted by various fans on the internet.

The internet is a cruel place, and it has been pointed out more than once that, among sandworms and spaceships, the one feature of Dune which shatters a viewer’s sense of verisimilitude is one name that sounds like a brand of maple syrup, or a midwestern town, or a chain of strip-mall stands that let you make your own pretzel. And here’s what people have to say about Momoa’s characters name:

Jokes aside, Momoa was struck with coronavirus recently, and he has been quarantined ever since he went to the London premiere of Dune, where he allegedly caught the infection. He has been quarantined with his skater buddy Erik Ellington and has informed the fans he is on the mend.

Let’s hope he recovers soon from the infection and gets back to making more blockbuster movies as soon as possible. What do you think of Duncan Idaho? Tell us in the comments below!
