George R.R. Martin’s Dark Winds renewed for Season 3

As the show’s creator, George R. R. Martin is frequently linked to the wildly successful TV series Game of Thrones. He is, however, increasing his workspace. His abilities now extend to assisting in the adaptation of other well-known books. The author is presently an executive producer for the AMC sci-fi television program “Dark Winds.” Martin just disclosed that the television show has been renewed for a third season.
Dark Winds has been renewed for a third season
As soon as the WGA strikes ended, all television networks have been scurrying to move their top priority projects forward. Martin’s Dark Winds is one such project, which has been renewed by AMC. He wrote on his blog, Not A Blog:
“Joe Leaphorn’s coming back, I am thrilled to say.
The second season of DARK WINDS was a great success. If you missed it, you can still catch it on AMC+. Along with the first season, which is still streaming as well.
And last week AMC informed us that we’ve been renewed for a third season.
The new season will once again be based on one of Tony Hillerman’s amazing novels. If you’ve enjoyed the show, and want more to tide you over to the next season, read the books. They are fantastic.”
What’s the plot of Dark Winds?
Tony Hilerman’s literary series “The Dark Wind” for AMC+ and AMC was adapted for television as “Dark Winds” on the AMC network. The show is directed by Westworld veteran Zahn McClarnon. The official show description reads as follows:
Dark Winds is a psychological thriller set in the Southwest in the 1970s and is based on Tony Hillerman’s renowned Leaphorn & Chee novel series. They are forced to question their own spiritual beliefs and deal with the agony of their pasts as they look for answers in a brutal double murder case.
