Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) starrer Killing Eve Season 3 to premiere two weeks early
The coronavirus outbreak is refusing to slow down around the world. People have been in lockdown for quite some time now depending on where they are. Amidst the chaos, there is a growing need of keeping the people inside their homes and provide them with some entertainment. With the production of most upcoming shows halted due to the pandemic, we have found some silver lining. Read on to find out more!
As per the Variety, the premiere of the third season of Killing Eve has been preponed by two weeks. The show was earlier going to release on April 26 but will be premiering now on April 12. The President of AMC networks was quoted as saying:
“We know how adored this series is and we know how keen people are for great content right now.”
He added:
“This season of ‘Killing Eve’ digs deep psychologically, and with actors like Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw the results are nothing short of astonishing. We literally couldn’t wait for fans to see it.”
The trailer of the series was released recently. Check it out!
Apart from Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, the series also stars Game of Thrones Gemma Whelan. Whelan had played the role of Yara Greyjoy in Thrones. Whelan was in the news recently when she said that she enjoys being typecast as a lesbian.
Killing Eve’s synopsis promises a lot and it looks like an interesting ride.
The synopsis states:
“The third season of the award-winning drama continues the story of two women with brutal pasts, addicted to each other but now trying desperately to live their lives without their drug of choice. For Villanelle (Jodie Comer), the assassin without a job, Eve (Sandra Oh) is dead. For Eve, the ex-MI6 operative hiding in plain sight, Villanelle will never find her. All seems fine until a shocking and personal death sets them on a collision course yet again. The journey back to each other will cost both of them friends, family, and allegiances…and perhaps a share of their souls.”
Great to see the AMC releasing the show early isn’t it. The fans were left disappointed when the production of network’s Walking Dead had to be halted and this should give them some respite.
