Game of Thrones star Lena Headey doesn't think Cersei will last long on the Iron Throne
The season 6 finale of Game of Thrones was explosive and highly entertaining, with Daenerys finally setting sail to Westeros, Jon being declared King in the North, Arya killing Walder frey, and Cersie taking control of the Seven Kingdoms after having destroyed her enemies that also eventually led to the death of her son Tommen. Now that Cersei is sitting on the Iron Throne and Dany is sailing towards Westeros, we know that something big is going to happen in season 7. We don’t know how long Cersei can use her power on the Seven Kingdoms now that another Queen is on her way to take back her kingdom, but Lena Headey, who plays Cersei on the show seems to think that there is no way Cersei would ever last long on the Iron Throne.
She spoke to EW about it, saying,“No. Surely not! Not a chance in hell,” Lena Headey, who plays the scheming queen. It’s a moment of punctuation in the madness.”
Lena is more excited about Cersei and Tyrion meeting when Dany arrives with her dragons to King’s Landing“I’m as excited as anyone to get Cersei and Tyrion back together. It just works,” she said.“Those two characters are so interesting because there’s so much hate, yet slight respect too. They’d kill each other if ever given the chance.”
For now we can just wait and see who will finally take everything that Cersei has left now, whether it will be Daenerys or Tyrion, it remains to be seen.
