Game Of Thrones star Aidan Gillen to star in a new series about UFOs

Game of Thrones has a ton of stars that keep featuring in other projects, because let’s face it : the show has one of the best star casts on a television show, ever. One of the best actors on the show was Aidan Gillen, who played the role of Petyr Baelish, a.k.a Littlefinger. His character finally met his end in Season 7, as he got trapped in his own web of lies, with the Stark sisters on his trail. Now, Aidan will be seen in a new project : a new series about UFOs! A exclusive report by Deadline says that Aidan Gillen will lead the History Channel’s scripted drama series, titled Blue Book. The show will have Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis as an executive producer, and Robert Stromberg, an Oscar and Emmy-winning production designer/special effects artist, will serve as a director for the first two episodes. The synopsis reads as follows:
“Created and written on spec by David O’Leary, the 10-episode Blue Book chronicles the true top secret U.S. Air Force-sponsored investigations into UFO-related phenomena in the 1950s and ’60s, known as “Project Blue Book.” Gillen will play Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a brilliant astrophysicist, family man, and UFO skeptic who is recruited as the Chief Scientific Advisor to “Project Blue Book.””
O’Leary will be an executive producer, along with Jack Rapke (Flight), Jackie Levine (Allied) and Sean Jablonski (Suits) who will also be the showrunner, and writer. Other cast members revealed till now include Michael Harney, and Laura Mennell. No further details are available as of yet, but we will update you as we hear of it.
