Published

on

Game of Thrones has been one of the biggest moneymakers for HBO, and we were definitely not surprised when the news broke that they were considering not one, but four spinoff ideas. The creator of Game of Thrones, George R. R. Martin, then confirmed the spinoff talk, with a major correction : there are five spinoff ideas under development. Naturally, us fans are totally freaking out about it. Being as huge as the Game of Thrones fandom is, there is no lack of fan art, and even though the spinoffs are far away, the fanmade posters for the same are already here. Read on!

While the spinoff ideas haven’t even been revealed yet, a Twitter user Night’s King designed posters for some of the popular Game of Thrones spinoffs and they’re amazing!

First off, is “The Conquest“, which is the story of Aegon Targaryen, the first person to sit on the Iron Throne, 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Check it out, below :

Second comes the poster for “Blackfyre“, which will focus on House Blackfyre, which branched out from House Targaryen, and carried out quite a few unsuccessful rebellions before being completely wiped out. Check it out, below:

Next up, is “Dance of the Dragons“, which is based on the Targaryen civil war, which happened about 150 years before Game of Thrones. Check it out, below:

George R. R. Martin confirmed that the two most famous spinoff ideas aren’t among the ones being developed. The first one is Robert’s Rebellion, which shows the events leading up to Robert Baratheon‘s time on the Iron Throne. Check out the title card for it, below:

The second one is Dunk and Egg, which focuses on the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall, and his squire, Egg, a.k.a. Prince Aegon Targaryen, about a hundred years before Game of Thrones. Check out the title card for it, below:
