Game of Thrones season 7 finale revealed Jon Snow's real name, and the fans are losing it!

Game of Thrones Season 7 came to and end today, and it went off with an icy bang. The longer than usual episode was full of some great moments, reunions, redemption, and betrayal, and we enjoyed every second of it. While it sucks that we will have to wait for a long time for Season 8 now, we know some very important things now, and at least one of them was an absolute shocker : Jon Snow‘s real name.
Bran Stark and Samwell Tarly are shown to have a conversation about Jon, where Bran says that Jon is really the son of Lyanna Stark, and Rhaegar Targaryen, albeit an illegitimate one. Samwell argues, saying that he readMaester Maynard‘s diary, which read that Rhaegar was actually secretly wed to Lyanna, and that Jon is actually named Aegon Targaryen.
This was a massive reveal, first of all because he’s the true heir to the Iron Throne, and since Jon is actually named after the first Targaryen king, it gives his personality, much more of a weight. This was unexpected, as most rumors pointed at his actual name being Jaehaerys Targaryen. Naturally, fans had all sorts of reaction to this reveal. Here are some of the best fan reactions :
lyanna: ned keep my son safe btw his name is aegon ned:ned:ned:
ned: how the fuck am I supposed to hide him in the north with that name
