Game of Thrones season 7 episode 4, 'The Spoils of War' breaks viewership records
Game of Thrones Season 7 is over halfway done at this point, and arriving after that long long wait, the result has been sweet. Game of Thrones is one of the most popular, as well as the most pirated show on the planet. Now, if you remember, the Season 7 premiere clocked in about 10.11 million viewers. The latest episode, titled ‘The Spoils of War‘, has beaten the record, albeit by a whisker. A report by Showbuzz Daily says that the episode got over 10.17 million viewers. Game of Thrones ruled over the Sunday, as usual, getting a bit less than three times as much viewers as the second on the list. HBO on the whole took a large piece of the cake, with five shows in the top ten list.
It is interesting to see that the latest Game Of Thrones episode has broken the viewership record despite the episode getting leaked online. Season 7 is going really well, and we expect it to speed up now, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the season finale ends up touching the 15 million viewers mark. What do you think?
