Game of Thrones Season 7 and Peter Dinklage get nominated for SAG Awards

Game of Thrones is one of the biggest shows right now, and as such the show has never shied away from awards. The awards season is now back, and Game of Thrones is on a roll with the nominations this time around. We talked about the Golden Globe nominations, and then the Critics’ Choice Awards, and now there’s another. Game of Thrones has bagged nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Read on!
The Screen Actors Guild recently announced the nominations for the next edition of SAG awards, and Game of Thrones has succeeded in grabbing nominations in three categories, with the show itself grabbing two, and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) bagging one. The first nomination is Peter Dinklage, for theOutstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series category. The full list of nominees is as follows :
Jason Bateman / Martin “Marty” Byrde – Ozark (Netflix)
Sterling K. Brown / Randall Pearson – This Is Us (NBC)
Peter Dinklage / Tyrion Lannister – Game of Thrones (HBO)
David Harbour / Jim Hopper – Stranger Things (Netflix)
Bob Odenkirk / Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman – Better Call Saul (AMC)
The category is looking really good, and Dinklage might have a shot, with his fifth consecutive nomination in the category finally grabbing him a win that’s eluded him before. Next up, Season 7 was nominated in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series category, which is the equivalent of ‘Best Drama’. Check out the full list of nominees :
The Crown (Netflix)
Game of Thrones (HBO)
The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu)
Stranger Things (Netflix)
This Is Us (NBC)
Game of Thrones has been nominated for this one for ever season except the second, and has never won, so maybe it’ll get lucky this time around. The show is also nominated for another ensemble award,Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series.
Game of Thrones (HBO)
Glow (Netflix)
Homeland (Showtime)
Stranger Things (Netflix)
The Walking Dead (AMC)
Now this is a category that Game of Thrones has absolutely dominated for the last six seasons, bagging a win every time, so we’re guessing it’s scheduled to win this time as well. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT). How many wins do you think Game of Thrones will get? Tell us in the comments, down below!
