It looks like someone at HBO is going to be in deep trouble now. Game of Thrones fans noticed that Game of Thrones season 6 episode 5 was available on HBO Nordic almost a day in advance and soon the high quality print was available all over the torrent sites. After last year when the initial episodes were leaked before the season started, HBO made sure that no such leaks occurred. However, the Game of Thrones season 6 premiere was leaked hours before it’s official air time and now the fifth episode titled The Door has been leaked almost a day before it officially airs.
The most unusual thing about this leak is that it has been leaked by the very own people who have been taking stringent actions to ensure that the episodes aren’t being leaked. This season HBO has made it sure that Game of Thrones torrents are taken down immediately after they have been posted online and they have sent warnings to many people for pirating the episodes. It’s ironic that now, HBO has done the same thing that it was trying hard to prevent from happening.
Torrent Freak was among the first ones to notice about the leak and they pointed it out that the latest Game of Thrones episode was available to view almost a day in advance on HBO Nordic, which is available in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. This must’ve been a huge surprise for the Game of Thrones fans in those countries, who saw the episode available for viewing way before the official release date. Some people also tweeted about the episode being available early for viewing.
