Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke isn’t keen on watching House of The Dragon: “I’m avoiding it”
Game of Thrones boasted a host of highly talented actors, and Emilia Clarke is surely one of them. The 35-year-old star, famous for playing Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, is soon to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the upcoming series Secret Invasion, where she is rumoured to play the role of a villain. Clarke loved her character Daenerys, and even to this day, she cherishes the moments she spent on the Game of Thrones set. However, she is not interested in watching the prequel House of The Dragon, which covers a part of the history of her character’s ancestors.
In a recent interview with Variety, Clarke revealed she is yet to watch the Game of Thrones prequel, and currently has no desire to do so, or in the future. She said, “I just can’t do it. It’s so weird. It’s so strange. No! Can you [forgive me]? It’s too weird. I’m so happy it’s happening. I’m over the moon about all the awards… I just can’t do it. It’s so weird. It’s so strange. It’s kind of like someone saying, ‘You want to go to this school reunion that’s not your year? Want to go to that school reunion?’ That’s how it feels. I’m avoiding it.”
With rumors of Daenerys being resurrected in one of the other Game of Thrones spinoffs that are in development, do you think Clarke will ever make a return to Westeros? Talk to us in the comments below!
