Game of Thrones’ “Blackwater” is amongst Vanity Fair’s 25 most perfect TV episodes

The last two decades saw the bar for quality TV shows getting raised to never-before-seen heights. Game of Thrones played a major role in raising that bar even higher. The fantasy epic still holds the record for most Emmy awards won. The series has once again proved that it remains one of the most beloved TV shows, as one of its episodes was listed in Vanity Fair’s 25 greatest TV episodes ever made.

“Blackwater” from Game of Thrones is one of the most perfect episodes

Vanity Fair recently released a list of the 25 most perfect episodes from the last 25 years, and of course, it would have a Game of Thrones episode in it. Blackwater, the penultimate episode of Season 2, was aired May 27, 2012, and features one of the best battle sequences ever filmed on TV. It shows off Tyrion’s leadership skills in the face of extreme danger, and his bravery in the face of King Joffrey’s cowardice.
