Even though the year 2020 has been a Long Night for humanity, a few good news did light up the dark skies. For example, all the Game of Thrones babies we had (and are expecting) this year! Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) welcomed daughter Willa with husband Joe Jonas this summer.
The 24-year-old actress is quite busy these days taking care of her new-born baby. Jonas and Turner have kept many of the details about life with their new baby under wraps. They do go out occasionally on strolls with a baby cart. Yesterday, in a new photo on her Instagram story, Turner shared a photo of her necklace that reads, ‘22.07.20’ vertically. “Thank you, @jenniferfisherjewelry,” she wrote.
The date is very significant for the new parents as it is the birth-date of baby Willa. This means that next Sunday, Willa will turn four months old. Unfortunately for her, she hasn’t been on the usual friends-and-family tour that infants typically do during their first year. Even Game of Thrones alum and Sophie’s BFF Maisie Williams hasn’t gotten to meet her. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it impossible.
Parents express their love for their kids in their own ways. What do you think of Sophie’s gesture? Talk to us in the comments below!
Game of Thrones reached it’s conclusion more than a year ago. Many of the show’s stars have moved on to new projects. Some are trying their hands in theatre, like Emilia Clarke and Indira Varma. Some are busy filming, like Iain Glenn and Kit Harington. While there are others who have their own production houses to deal with. Like Lena Headey, who played the Lion Queen Cersei Lannister on the show.
Peephole Production has struck a deal with Platform One Media. The production company is run by Game of Thrones star Lena Headey. The Boat Rocker company will work with the actor to develop scripted and unscripted TV and digital projects. Headey will executive produce on all projects under the deal with Platform One Media.
Peephole Productions co-produced Headey’s BAFTA-nominated short The Trap. They will produce the feature-length version in 2021.
Headey has also recently joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming animated show New-Gen. She will voice Thea, the wife of Dr Gabriel (Luke Wilson). The show is a futuristic sci-fi fantasy involving kids being infected with nanotechnology, superhuman powers, robotic insects, and time travel.

The year 2020 has been the year of Game of Thrones babies. Even though the year has been the Red Wedding for people around the world, these babies bring hope. Some like Sophie Turner and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson has already welcomed their babies. While some like Kit Harington are expecting theirs.
Sophie welcomed daughter Willa with husband Joe Jonas back in July. The actress who played Queen in the North Sansa Stark got a tattoo as a tribute to her daughter. Turner posted a picture of her T-shirt on Instagram. Fans spotted a new tattoo on her wrist which said ‘W’, Willa’s initial. Sophie already had a ‘J’ etched on her wrist for her husband. She got it in February 2018, with Joe getting an ‘S’ in the same spot.
The 24-year-old actress has various Game of Thrones related tattoos as well. She has an etching of the Direwolf sigil of House Stark on her arm, with the writing ‘The pack survives’. Turner and her best friend Maisie Williams have a matching ‘07.08.09’ inking on their arms. The date marks the day they found out they’d been cast on the show.
