Fans joke about Netflix copying Daenerys Targaryen in Millie Bobby Brown's Damsel

Game of Thrones was the biggest show of the 21st century – a pop culture phenomenon. Its influence over TV and films is pretty well known. Hence when Millie Bobbie Brown‘s Elodie emerged with a massive dragon in Damsel, comparisons were made with Daenerys Targaryen, the mother of dragons. And quite truly so, there were scenes in the Netflix film that invoked the same awe as the original Dragon Queen.

Daenerys Targaryen and her three dragons are iconic. And out of all three she was closest to Drogon, her personal ride. Millie Bobby Brown plays Princess Elodie in Damsel, who is tricked and trapped with a dragon by a vile prince, and she has to claw her way out. However, there were quite a few scenes in the film that reminded fans of Daenerys, like this one:

Fans share a laugh at Netflix trying to invoke Daenerys’ majesty in Damsel

The similarities between Damsel and Daenerys’ scenes from Game of Thrones are uncanny. A number of other fans joined in and had a laugh at the obvious inspiration. For others, it was quite a surprise to see Brown looking rough, just like Daenerys before becoming Queen of the Andals. Millie Bobby Brown once wanted to star in Game of Thrones, maybe this is the closest she will get.
