Fans react to Aemond claiming Vhagar in exchange for his eye
Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is already breaking records, becoming one of the most successful shows to ever air on HBO. The highly awaited seventh episode is finally here, set right after Laena’s death in episode 6. After her death, Vhagar is riderless, and it doesn’t look good for Westeros if the biggest and the most experienced dragon in the region has been left unclaimed. So prince Aemond decides to have a go for it, and is successful, but the adventure costs him an eye, though not any of that isn’t Vhagar’s fault.
Here’s what fans think about Aemond claiming Vhagar and him losing an eye in the skirmish that follows:

Vhagar was not the Velaryons property or something that they inherit, dragons belong to whoever dares try and claim them, Aemond did so and Vhagar recognized his fearlessness and determination and accepted him.

Call it boldness, madness, or the caprice of dragons. Who can know the mind of such a beast? We do know this: Vhagar roared, lurched to her feet, shook violently…then snapped her chains and flew. And the boy prince Aemond Targaryen became a dragonrider.pic.twitter.com/64Rw5txsyp

“I may have lost an eye, but I gained a dragon”A Dragon cannot be stolen, they are not property, nor inheritable assets. Vhagar chose Aemond, Aemond claimed Vhagar, and all the Strong bastards, Velaryon girls and⚫️stans can cry over it #AemondTargaryen #Vhagar #HouseOfTheDragon pic.twitter.com/rAnhia14mC
