Ever since its announcement back in 2019, Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has been a major source of excitement for fantasy fans all over the world. According to George R. R. Martin himself, the first season of the show is looking very good, and he has watched a number of episodes. Working for a franchise as big as Game of Thrones can be quite stressful, but the cast managed to have a great time on the set. The original show’s star Conleth Hill hopes House of The Dragon’s cast and crew will have as much fun as he did on Game of Thrones.

In a recent appearance on the Radio Times, Hill opened up about how he felt about House of The Dragon. He said, “I hope they have half as good a time on it as me. But I have no envy. Nothing but support and admiration for them. I hope they have had as good a time as we did.”

He also accepted the fact that he is still recognized as Game of Thrones’ Lord Varys, “I’m used to Conleth Hill The Game of Thrones [star], it’s a double-barrel name or trebled barrel name. But that’s a small price to pay for being associated with something so brilliant…I’ll always be associated with it until they do a remake. And then it’ll be somebody else. And that’s the way it goes. But I’m grateful for all the work.”
