Cersei Lannister gave the fans a big surprise in the latest Game of Thrones episode!

Game of Thrones season 7 episode 5, Eastwatch gave us the long-awaited reunion between Jaime and Tyrion Lannister and as expected, Jaime was still angry with Tyrion for killing their father, Tywin Lannister. Tyrion tried his best to make sure that Jaime understood why he did that but Jaime wasn’t ready to listen and he asked Tyrion to come straight to the point and that’s when he told Jaime about Daenerys’ offer to temporarily end all hostilities to fight against the common enemy, the White Walkers.

Jaime visited Cersei to let her know about the meeting with Tyrion and informed her that Daenerys wanted to meet her to discuss an armistice because an army of dead people was marching towards Westeros.

Cersei laughed at the mention of it and that’s when she revealed that she knew that Tyrion was going to meet Jaime and she still let it happen as she knows that she can’t win against Daenerys and a truce with Daenerys was in her best interests and she would do anything to defeat the dead men, Dragons and the Dragon Queen, for themselves, their house and their baby!

Jaime was taken aback at the hint of a baby and there were mixed emotions about the bombshell that was dropped on him but he calmed down and we could see the happiness on his face but he was worried at the same time about what they were going to tell the world about the baby and Cersei calmly told him that they will raise it as their child.

So, things are looking good for the Lannister siblings as they won’t have to worry about Daenerys attacking King’s Landing and now with the baby, they will be able to carry forward their legacy.

However, this is Game of Thrones and we should keep in mind that things are not always going to end on a happy note and there might be some bad news for Cersei and her child. We need to keep in mind the season 5 flashback which involved a young Cersei and a fortune teller named Maggy. Cersei asked Maggy about her future and this is what she was told:

“You will never wed the Prince, you will wed the King…You’ll be Queen, for a time. Then comes another — younger, more beautiful — to cast you down and take all you hold dear…The King will have 20 children, and you will have three…Gold will be their crowns, gold their shrouds.”

So far, everything about this prophecy has turned out to be true. Cersei was meant to marry Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, instead, she married King Robert Baratheon. The part about the younger Queen can be interepreted in multiple ways. Margaery became a Queen after she married Tommen and she was younger and more beautiful and she made sure that Tommen listened to whatever she had to say and once she died during the destruction of the Sept of Baelor, Tommen jumped from the Red Keep and took his life. So even this part of the prophecy came true and now Daenerys is also a Queen and she might take away the Iron Throne from her.

The part about the children also came true as we know that Robert had multiple children, all of whom are bastards and that also includes Gendry, while Cersei had 3 children with Jaime Lannister and all of them have died, thus fulfilling the entire prophecy. This makes us wonder about the fate of Cersei’s to be born child as the prophecy clearly mentioned that she will have only 3 children and there’s no chance that she will be having another one.

So does that mean, Cersei will die before the child is born or she suffers a miscarriage or it’s also possible that she’s lying to Jaime to make sure that he stays faithful to her. Going by the prophecy, things are not going to end well for Cersei and her baby.
