Bella Ramsey reveals the inside joke they use to make Pedro Pascal laugh
Game of Thrones wasn’t just the biggest show of the century, it was a huge family and a way of life for so many people for nearly a decade. Even though the show’s alums Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) and Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont) didn’t spend any time together on-screen, when they met on the set of their new HBO show The Last of Us, they instantly hit it off. And they value their friendship, a LOT.
What was the inside joke that made Pedro Pascal laugh?
In a video released by Sony Global post The Last of Us finale, Bella Ramsey talked about the scenes where Ellie uses puns to make Joel laugh. They said, “But the thing with puns, if you do it take after take after take, it becomes unfunny very quickly. So then what we did, was like, I pulled back inside jokes that we’d had.”
Pascal replied, “You knew exactly how to get me to laugh.”
Bella continued, “Like the winter of death.”
And Pascal begins to burst out laughing.
Bella says, “Remember? There we go!”
What can we expect from The Last of Us Season 2?
Showrunner Craig Mazin teased the reporters about what’s to come in Season 2, “Sometimes it will be different radically and sometimes it will be barely different at all, but it’s going to be different and it will be its own thing. It won’t be exactly like the game. It will be the show that Neil and I want to make. We are making it with Bella.”
When will The Last of Us Season 2 arrive?
On her latest visit to The Jonathan Ross Show, Bella Ramsey talked about the approximate release date of Season 2 of The Last of Us. She/they said, “It will be a while. I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, the beginning of next. So it’ll probably be the end of 2024, early 2025.”
