Tom Glynn-Carney teases where Larys took Aegon after fleeing from King’s Landing
Aegon’s journey shrouded in secrecy!
From minor player to major force, Aegon’s rise to power in House of the Dragon‘s second season was a game-changer. Tom Glynn-Carney’s masterful performance brought depth and complexity to the character, cementing his position as a key player in the battle for the Iron Throne. But what’s next for the injured King? Nerdist sits down with Glynn-Carney to discuss Aegon’s journey and the mysterious destination that awaits him, as Larys takes him on a perilous journey, shrouded in secret.
Aegon’s mysterious journey with Larys
Aemond Targaryen remains unaware of Larys’ true plans, and it seems the actor behind Aegon, Tom Glynn-Carney is just as much in the dark. When questioned about Larys’ destination with Aegon, Tom Glynn-Carney stayed mum, stating, “I’m not at liberty to disclose that information at this time.”
Larys is pulling the strings, and Aegon is along for the ride. But what’s driving Larys’ motives, and where are they headed? The answers remain elusive, and Glynn-Carney’s tight-lipped response only adds to the enigma. As the story unfolds, one thing is certain – Aegon’s path will be fraught with danger, deception, and unexpected twists. In an interview with Nerdist, Tom Glynn said,
“Can’t disclose that information at this point, I don’t think. But wherever it is, it’s somewhere. Sorry, I just made that up. I don’t know.”

Trusting Larys Amidst Uncertainty
In essence, Aegon has some reservations about Larys but considers him the most trustworthy option available. Their shared experiences create a sense of connection, and Aegon believes Larys has his best interests at heart, but he doesn’t want to examine it too deeply. Aegon will use Larys for his own benefit while being aware that there might be underlying motivations.
“He’s the best of a bad bunch in the Red Keep. I think there is a certain amount of trust that he has towards Larys just because there’s common ground. They’re both physically impaired now, and Larys has lived his entire life in that state. So there’s some sort of connectivity going on there, but also it seems like he does have Aegon’s best interests at heart at this point. I don’t think Aegon wants to look too much into that at the moment.”
