The Hedge Knight might start pre-production in April
Game of Thrones spinoffs have been a long-term goal for HBO, since the network has been talking about growing the Martinverse even before the original show ended. Some are currently in varying phases of creation, while others have been abandoned. A prequel series based on George R. R. Martin‘s Dunk & Egg novels is currently under production and has made some progress.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight to prep for production in April
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will shortly go into production. According to a recent scoop by Redanian Intelligence, early in April 2024, The Hedge Knight will enter active pre-production, under the production codename “Sweetfoot.” For those who don’t know, Dunk’s horse was named Sweetfoot. House of the Dragon storyboard artist Adam Pescott also teased the same with his recent Instagram post.
The Hedge Knight release window revealed
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight has generated a lot of buzz ever since it was revealed. CEO David Zaslav of Warner Bros. Discovery discussed the anticipated release schedule for the forthcoming prequel on the company’s most recent earnings call. He said:
“George R.R. Martin is in pre-production for the new spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will premiere in late 2025 on Max.”
