Game of Thrones’ Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (The Mountain) and wife Kelsey Henson welcome baby boy
The bloody red sky of 2020 seems to be lightened up with hopes of bright shooting stars. These shooting stars are in the form of Game of Thrones babies whose smiles are a comforting sight in rough times. Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who played the terrifying warrior Mountain, welcomed his son into the world with his wife Kelsey Henson.
After Sophie Turner, Björnsson is the second Game of Thrones celebrity to have a baby in the year 2020. Earlier this year, Sophie welcomed her daughter Willa with husband Joe Jonas. The year 2020 already feels like a memorable year for the Game of Thrones fans.
Björnsson posted a picture of his cute little family on Instagram. He was really excited to share the news with his fans. He described the events in the caption:
“After an extremely hard 2 hours and 19 minutes of pushing our healthy, strong, beautiful boy arrived weighing 3530 grams, 52 cm long. To finish the most beautiful, awe inspiring labour was the most wonderful phone call to my daughter to introduce her to her new little brother.”
The actor also has a daughter, Theresa Lif with his ex-girlfriend, Thelma Björk Steimann. Meanwhile, Kelsey also took to Instagram to share her happiness with her fans.

Game of Thrones fans surely have a moment to rejoice amidst the crisis the world is currently facing. More good news is on the way as Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) are also expecting their first child!

Game of Thrones amassed a massive following of fans over a decade. The fans chose their favourites from the show and they became hugely popular. However, every fandom has that crazy faction, who show their love for their favourite star/character in unconventional ways. For example, Game of Thrones’ Daniel Portman was groped by Pod fans who wanted to know more about his big package. To avoid such circumstances, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have decided to keep such fans afar. The couple has applied for planning permission to build new gates at their £1.75m country home.
Their idea is to keep crazy trespassing fans at bay from their house. Kit and Rose recently welcomed their first child in January. It looks like the couple wants to keep their new-born baby away from the flickering clicks of the paparazzi.
The couple met on the set of Game of Thrones and have been together since 2018. Since moving into their new farmhouse in Suffolk, Harington and Leslie, both 34, say their privacy and security has been ‘continuously breached’. They complained that the trespassing was ‘purely from an unwelcome and intrusive desire to observe the occupants’.

George R.R. Martin is one of the most celebrated writers of the present generation. His work A Song of Ice and Fire gave birth to Game of Thrones, the biggest TV show of the decade. At the moment, the author already has his hands full, working on Winds of Winter and prequels like House of The Dragon. However, this does not stop him from working on more amazing projects. Martin is currently developing a new sci-fi series on HBO, the Roadmarks.
The story broke a few days ago, and is now all over the internet: I am developing a new series for HBO, a science fiction show based on ROADMARKS, a novel by the late great Roger Zelazny. And what do you know — the story is actually true. https://t.co/eUYqgKzqfp

The author wrote on his blog Not a Blog about the series under development. He said, “The story broke a few days ago, and is now all over the internet: I am developing a new series for HBO, a science fiction show based on ROADMARKS, a novel by the late great Roger Zelazny. And what do you know — the story is actually true. Which is more than can be said about most of the stories about me that I stumble over these days, boys and girls. (I have said it before, and will say it again, but sometimes it seems no one listens. Do not believe everything you read).”
He continued, “Anyway… YES! We had not intended to announce anything yet, to be sure. Development is a long and uncertain process. Thousands of shows are pitched, hundreds of pilots are written, dozens of pilots are filmed, but only a very few of them ever get greenlit to series. There is a reason that Hollywood insiders call it “development hell.” And what’s the point of announcing projects that might never make it to air? That’s why HBO — like most other networks and streamers — prefers to keep these things quiet.”

The year 2021 has been an exceptional one for Game of Thrones fans all over the world. The show ended more than a year ago, and HBO is keen on continuing the legacy of the fantastical universe. House of The Dragon is already on its wheels; the first prequel that will be aired in 2022. The series was teased in HBO’s amazing programming line-up for 2021-22. The casting for various key characters has already been done. With the tables all set, the television giant is already looking forward to expanding the Game of Thrones universe. It seems like wooing their lost audience back is their top priority.
Talking to TVLine in a recent interview, HBO President Casey Bloys revealed their main focus is the audience’s interest. He said, “Obviously, we know George has this incredible world with all of this really rich and complicated history and all of these characters. So we’ve been trying to be thoughtful about what are the stories that are worth telling. What would be exciting? What would fans love? Dunk and Egg is one of those, but not the only one.”
In addition to thinking about what the fans want, HBO will also take into account what the network and creatives it works with are most excited about. “We’ll let the creative dictate where we end up.”
