House of the Dragon’s Matt Smith will be honored with the coveted Giffoni Award
Being a member of three of the most well-known franchises in the world speaks volumes about Matt Smith’s acting ability. He has witnessed the best and the worst of it all, whether it is a Marvel villain in Morbius, a past mysterious Doctor Who, or an irascible Prince Daemon Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon. Smith will be recognized for his talents in July for his contributions to the acting industry.
Matt Smith to be honored with the 53rd Giffoni Award
Matt Smith will receive the prestigious Giffoni Award on July 24 when he meets with kids from all around the world at the 53rd annual Giffoni Film Festival. Smith, a well-known and acclaimed actor, will appear in Sala Truffaut alongside an international jury of children and teenagers from over 30 nations. The 2023 Giffoni Film Festival will take place from July 20 to July 29 and will attract around 6,000 worldwide young people to watch, study, and participate in the filmmaking process.
Matt Smith went through personal loss and injury while filming House of the Dragon
In a recent interview, Smith revealed, “It was a really weird shoot. I lost my father during the shoot. But then I was doing a stunt scene one day and I slipped a disc in my neck. So if you watch the latter part of the season, you can see I just can’t really move, because we had to keep shooting.”
