Interview
Kit Harington feels privileged to have been a part of Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones star Kit Harington rose to fame with his role Jon Snow, and has become a household name ever since. Harington has come a long way ever since, playing iconic roles in several anthology series, and recently made headlines with his role in the MCU movie Eternals last year. Harington owes it all to his time on Game of Thrones, as it prepared him for a great future ahead.
There was a time Harington thought Game of Thrones wouldn’t go on after season 6. When asked in an interview by The Guardian if he knew he would survive all those seasons, he replied, “I wasn’t very well through a portion of it towards the end, so I could say that an element of me didn’t survive it”
He continued, “But I think that would have happened were I in that show or not. I look at it with great fondness. I feel very privileged to have been in it and I’m continuing to get to be in the theatre, in large part, because of that show.” Any downsides are more than balanced out, he says. “There’s a baby boy downstairs, and my wife, who I met on the show. I looked at it from a perspective of tortuousness and anxiousness a lot when I was in it. I’ve got no reason to be doing that now.”
