Game of Thrones is a show that is intense at times, and it has its set of emotionally harrowing scenes throughout the show. The show has broken our hearts multiple times over the years, but one scene still remains at the top of this list: the Red Wedding. No matter how many times you watch it, one simply cannot get over it. There are people all over the world who are still being introduced to the world of Game of Thrones, and just like the regular viewers who were shocked about 8 years ago, the new fans can’t stop babbling about what they witnessed in Season 3. The most recent entry into that list is actor Jonah Hill.

Known for his comedies like Superbad and 21 Jump Street, the two-time Oscar-nominated star recently decided to give Game of Thrones a go, and he was shocked beyond his beliefs. Especially when he watched the Red Wedding. He recalled his experience while talking to W Magazine:

“I don’t watch sci-fi and stuff like that, so I had never seen Game of Thrones. Never seen an episode. I started in the past couple of months. I’m on season 4 … Game of Thrones is so sick. I know this is hilarious, because I’m in 2012. I’m just watching three episodes at a time, like you would binge any show. But I forget this happened in real time and was like a cultural event. So I watched the Red Wedding, as one of three episodes I watched that night. I’m calling friends, like, “Oh my god, Robb Stark got killed, blah, blah, blah.” And they’re like, “Yeah, dude. It was like the end-of-Sopranos-level cultural event.”
